We Are Open for Business

March 17th, 2020

Dear Valued Client,

Ambient Air Solutions takes the health and safety of our community seriously. We are actively monitoring the situation regarding the Coronavirus (COVID-19).

With the first COVID-19 cases confirmed in the State of Montana late on March 13, we must continue to take precautions for our safety and that of our clients and employees.

Ambient Air Solutions understands our client’s needs for heat during the winter months and will continue to provide all emergency and demand services.

These will be our precautionary measures to ensure the safety and health of our clients and employees.

  • We are reminding our employees to take appropriate preventive hygiene methods to minimize the potential risk of infection.
  • We are requiring all technicians to sanitize hands before and after interactions with a client.
  • We are also implementing a glove use policy within a client’s home.
  • We will also be suspending all routine scheduled residential maintenances for the next two weeks.

As we navigate through these uncharted waters, Ambient Air Solutions will continue to provide top quality service while maintaining a priority of health and safety.

There is much to consider regarding the COVID-19 virus (Coronavirus) and its possible transmission in your home. While there are various and effective indoor air quality measures available to help protect your safety, including duct sanitization, ultraviolet (UV) germicidal light treatment, and HEPA air filters, they alone cannot protect from all forms of COVID-19 transmission. It is important to follow all official guidelines for preventing the spread of this virus.

Stay Healthy with an Air Filtration and Purification System

March 12th, 2020

Keeping your home air safe has never been as important as it is now. In light of global health concerns, we found it important to talk about what a UV air purifier and, to a lesser extent, what a HEPA filter can do to support the indoor air quality and cleanliness of your home.

The Fantech HEPA Air Filter

With a Fantech HEPA Air Filtration System, you can filter the air that comes into your home from the outside. HEPA filters are well known for being able to filter 99.9% of all air that goes through your HVAC system, meaning you’ll be breathing air that’s free of dust, debris, pet dander, and other contaminants.

The Honeywell 24V Ultraviolet Air Purifier

However, if you’re looking to stop microbial contaminants from causing harm to you and your family, then a HEPA filter won’t be able to do the job. An ultraviolet (UV) air purifier is the system for you.

The Honeywell 24V Ultraviolet Air Purifier runs in your ductwork, using ultraviolet rays and carbon cells to capture odor-causing airborne particles and transform them into harmless water vapor. The germicidal light will destroy germs and mold in your home while reducing volatile organic compounds as well.

Know the Difference

It’s important to know the difference between an air filtration system and an air purification system. Our Fantech HEPA Air Filter will filter out particles above a certain size category, but won’t do anything about microbial germs and mold spores. The Honeywell 24V Ultraviolet Air Purifier will eliminate said germs and mold spores. An ultraviolet air purifier has a unique advantage when trying to protect your home from microbial organisms that could make you sick.

It’s not just because temperatures are starting to warm up so you don’t have to worry about going an hour or two without heat, but technicians tend to be more easily available during milder seasons like spring and fall.

No, our team isn’t free because nobody wants to call us, but every HVAC contractor tends to get a higher volume of calls and service requests during the hottest or coldest months of the year. If you’ve been looking for an excuse to have routine maintenance performed on your heater and you notice the ice melting on a warming spring day, then give our team a call. You can also explore how to avoid heating repairs this season by scheduling proactive maintenance during the off-season.

How to Safely Utilize a Gas Furnace

February 24th, 2020
carbon-monoxide-detector

We’re not going to give you a detailed description of how to take your gas furnace apart safely since that’s a job reserved for a professional technician. Instead, what we would like to talk about is the way that a homeowner can safely operate their system in the meantime when you don’t need the help of a professional.

Some homeowners get instantly turned off by the idea of having a gas burner in their home to provide heat, particularly because they don’t actually know how to utilize them as safely as they’re advertised. While true, gas is being burned in your furnace and that is essentially combustion and producing fire and gases, a furnace is set up precisely to mitigate the flames and gas in order to only provide your home with warm fresh air.

Still unconvinced? Good. We’re going to go into detail about the safety of your gas furnace in Bozeman and let you in on some operating tips to keep yourself safe and happy!

Do you have an air purifier? What about an air filtration system? We’re not here to sell you on one product in specific, but we’re here to generally talk about the lesser-known benefits of indoor air quality systems that can make your life a little better. Whether using an air purifier, an air filtration system, or some combination of both, you and the guests to your home could enjoy easier breathing and an overall higher quality of life than otherwise.

Recently the United States Government has started mentioning that many risks to your health might occur from indoor air quality rather than outdoor quality, contrary to popular belief. While it might be hard to believe for many homeowners, it’s easy to understand for us. From cooking smoke, to pet dander and allergens, to even dust and germs—indoor air quality can become quite a problem for unsuspecting homeowners.

If you’ve ever thought about investing in an air filtration system in Bozeman, MT, keep reading and contact us.
